Princess Diana: The Chosen Leader
Diana, Princess of Wales
I chose Princess Diana because
she was no ordinary princess. I have watched a documentary on Netflix entitled
“The Story of Diana” and I have discovered that she was a sensational princess
of people’s hearts, a devoted wife, a loving mother, and an enthralling and admirable
person. She was an icon, but she was just a common girl in a royal nation.
Not just that, she was also a
remarkable leader, and here is why.
1. Open-mindedness
Her
open-mindedness brought her close to the people therefore, she became the
leader of the people. Princess Diana was a very well-educated woman even though
she fell into a royal trap at a very young age. She opened her eyes and heart
up to look at people around her and accept the ones who are not in her circle.
She worked ardently about AIDS/HIV. She was one of the royals and yet she
became the first one shaking the hand of an AIDS/HIV patient without wearing
any gloves or protection. She became the example to her followers at the time
and has changed the perspective of that disease forever. Furthermore, because
of her open-mindedness, she became the most confident speaker. She was spitting
facts in the politest and wisest way possible.
2. Compassionate
and filled with humanity
Princess Diana
was one of the royals who is humane. She is filled with humanity and was
compassionate about what she was doing. She went to a landmine site, visited
the homeless, opened charity foundations, gave her own money to the charity,
understood the unlucky ones and be with them. When she came to them, they felt
like heaven has sent them an angel to look after them. You can feel her
presence there, showing that she did this out of humanity and not for fame at
all.
3. Down-to-earth.
Humble
Next is my
favourite leadership quality that Lady Diana Spencer conquered which is being
humble. Being a princess did not change her perspectives on the world. She kept
being the excellent girl she was, and she kept thriving for the better. Even
though she was up to the sky, her legs were still on the ground, and she was
capable of mingling around with her people. She also said that skin contact and
touch is very important to connect with people by hearts. That was the
beautiful thing about being a down-to-earth leader, the ability to connect with
the followers in a deeper way for good.
4. Patience
Finally, is
patience. We knew that she was the hottest topic out there during her time.
People did not respect her privacy; they invaded her space, and they violated
her life. They; paparazzies crowded her to take her pictures, asked questions
in the rudest ways possible and many more. However, she kept being that strong
soul she was and faced the challenges that kept coming to her like a saint. She
had her own problems with the royal family and even with her own husband and
the mistress, but she encountered the problems brilliantly. She did not neglect
her children and her responsibilities to her people from around the world. She
even became stronger with every challenge that she has slayed beautifully.
